Seduced by the Sleekster: Hotel Chocolat Valentine Selection

I follow a mostly Paleo diet, avoid sugar, eat limited dairy, not a big chocolate eater, yadda yadda – enter the Hotel Chocolat Sleekster Valentine Selection. OMG.

I thought I’d just have one or two in order to conduct a proper review, leaving the rest for the bf, the real chocolate lover out of the two of us, but that’s not how it went.

”Once bitten, forever smitten. Heart-melting recipes for charming, wooing, and romancing.”

Instead it was: Balsamic Caramel, ooh, tastebuds warming up, then Lemon Berry Tart, a really fruity taste sensation – one of these is as good as a whole dessert in a restaurant (ok, maybe not  just one …), really getting into these chocs now, so just one more, the Champagne Bellini – aahhh.

You get the picture. These chocolates are simply gorgeous, to look at and to taste, with expert combinations of flavours that really make the chocolates worthy of their luxury status.  If they had that effect on me, just imagine what a real chocolate lover would think of them.

The Sleekster Collection contains 24 chocolates, and comes in a beautifully illustrated box with a gold-printed sleeve giving the key to what is inside:

Passion Fruit Truffles, Strawberry & Rose Truffles, Triple-Layer Pralines, Salted Caramel Cheesecakes, Balsamic Caramels, Pink Champagne Truffles, Lemon Berry Tarts, Caramel Pralines, Soft Caramels, Champagne Bellini, Chilli, Ginger & Almond Pralines and Creamy Raspberry Truffles

I have been seduced by the Sleekster!

I am more than happy to recommend this collection as a perfect Valentine’s gift. If you can resist opening them when you are alone (like YT), then they would be perfect for sharing. Printed on the sleeve is this quote from Aristotle:

“Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies”

and I am sure these chocolates would unite the two souls sharing them in heavenly chocolate bliss!

Happy Valentine’s Day Chocolate Lovers.

Disclaimer: Hotel Chocolat kindly sent me these chocolates for the purpose of this review, but all thoughts are my own and no payment was received.
