This week’s review and giveaway is one for the boys – Hair and Body Wash by Manatomicals – the new brother(?) range to the popular and best-selling Anatomicals.
The two men of the Molly household, teenage Mr S and *cough* middle-aged Mr G, were called in to test and review Manatomicals Young, Free & Tingle Wake Up Hair/Body Wash, and Are You Looking To Get Picked Up? Energy, Hair/Body Wash.
(Apologies the products are a bit in the dark in the photo below)
The hair and body washes are packaged in Anatomicals familiar ‘not-so serious fun and funky and deeply ironic packaging‘, with plenty of reading material (men do like to read in the bathroom don’t they?).
I’m sorry to say neither Mr S nor Mr G were overawed by the Manatomicals hair and body washes. Neither liked the packaging and both thought the quirky banter a bit ‘old hat’. Mr S’s main gripe against the packaging was its shape – he said he prefers a rounder pick-up-and-squeeze bottle design.
Mr G thought the product a ‘bit thin’, and the smell of the two fragrances … ‘not very subtle’. Mr S, on the other hand, liked the smell of Young, Free & Tingle Wake Up Hair/Body Wash and said he would use it again if the packaging was different.
Well you can’t win ‘em all, I suppose. Maybe my two are just a bit
peculiar particular. I quite like the bottles in the bathroom as they make a colourful change from the usual generic sports body washes my son uses, and the contents are paraben-free which is always a good thing.
There are five bottles up for grabs in my giveaway, so why not try for yourself and see what you think? I’ve chosen five bottles of Young, Free & Tingle Wake Up Hair/Body Wash, as this was the favourite of Mr S. To enter, just leave me a comment saying what your favourite smell is (anything at all, can be perfume, mown grass, roses … or something more obscure – unwashed feather pillows in my case!)
I will also need you to be signed up to my blog so that I have a way of contacting the winner, so if you are not subscribed, please do so by clicking one of the ‘subscribe‘ links in the right-hand sidebar.
I will pick five winners at random on Friday 22 July. I will announce the winners here on Molly and the Princess, and will email asking for delivery details which I will then pass on to the PR company for delivery of the prizes.
The Manatomicals range is currently available at Waitrose (certain lines) and in Boots stores nationwide from August. If you win my giveaway, you will be one of the first people to try this new range for men!
These two products were provided free-of-charge for review purposes, but no payment was received to write this post, and the opinions are honest and my own (and in this case, those of Mr S and Mr G).
