Crux Craft Fair
It was a beautiful sunny (but cold!) Sunday here in Devon today, and Mr G and I thought we would visit the Crux Craft Fair in Rattery, where pachadesign, that I blogged about earlier this week, were exhibiting.

It was a real pleasure to meet Sammy and Glenn of pashadesign, to chat with them about their work, and to see some of their smaller pieces ‘in the flesh’. I was not disappointed – the materials and their use of them are indeed stunning. The reclaimed, long weathered, Cornish slate is so beautiful with its many different colours and markings that make each piece unique. Adolf Loos would approve, I am sure!

The leaf lanterns that I fell in love with on their website were every bit as lovely in real life, and I happily came away with a few – sorry Sammy and Glen if I spoiled your lovely display in the process!
I also bought:
a necklace from fluxplay jewellery, made from reclaimed tin and copper:
some Christmas cards from The Inky Otter:

and some origami cranes from Yamoto Nadeshik:

Last but not least, Mr G and I enjoyed some Coco Rose Bean and Vegetable Soup with Walnut Pesto, followed by coffee and cake (Caramel and Ginger Cake for me, Banoffee Pie for Mr G) in the Crux Cafe. These disappeared too quickly to photograph, but you can trust me they were delicious. Altogether a grand day out.
You can find out more about the Crux Craft Fair on its website, which includes links to details of all the exhibitors here.

My real name is Mary, but have been called Moll since childhood, and Molly since starting this blog - I answer to all three! The Princess is my lovely bike - a Pashley Princess Sovereign.
This blog is about what we get up to in the South West of England and beyond - I pedal the Princess, craft, cook, thrift, sew (and sow). Fuelled by tea.
